The Humble Star

The star shinning brilliantly bright,
The star glowing its magnificent light,
Following the star, the three Kings on their flight,
They know the star will guide them right.

The star shinning on the manger bright,
The Earth awaits the moment of the night,
The Almighty knows the time right,
The world He grants a saviour – on this silent night.

The shepherds grazing their flock that night,
Saw an angel speaking in the brightest of light,
Glory from heavens and heavenly choir singing in their sight,
“A saviour is born – Christ the Lord - on this wonderful night”.

The Kings and shepherds kneeling to the baby of might,
Joseph and Mary praising the Almighty all night,
All gathered wondered at the amazing sight,
Even as the star humbled before baby Jesus – on this splendid night.
